Congratulations on Winning the Gold Medal at AEII 2025 for Intelligent Driving Training & Evaluation System
We are proud to announce that the RIVRT research team has been awarded the Gold Medal at the Asia Exhibition of Innovations and Inventions (AEII) 2025, held in Hong Kong from 4–5 December 2025. The award was granted by an international jury in recognition of our project:
“Intelligent Driving Training and Evaluation System for Heavy-Duty Trucks.”
About the Award
AEII is a well-established international innovation exhibition that brings together cutting-edge inventions from universities, research institutes, and industry worldwide. All submissions are rigorously evaluated by an international jury panel based on technological novelty, practical impact, and innovation potential. Receiving the Gold Medal represents the highest level of recognition at the exhibition.
The official medal certificate, issued by Inventions Hong Kong, confirms that the project was examined and unanimously selected for the Gold Award by the jury.
About the Award-Winning Project
The Intelligent Driving Training and Evaluation System for Heavy-Duty Trucks addresses critical challenges in commercial vehicle driver training, road safety, and operational efficiency. The system integrates:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)–based driving behavior analysis
- Data-driven evaluation models for objective driver performance assessment
- Simulation and intelligent feedback mechanisms to enhance training effectiveness
- Decision-support tools for instructors and fleet operators
By focusing on heavy-duty trucks, the system targets a sector with high safety risks and significant economic and environmental impact. The proposed solution supports safer driving practices, standardized training, and improved evaluation accuracy, contributing to smarter transportation and sustainable logistics.
Exhibition Participation
During AEII 2025, members of the RIVRT team participated on-site at Booth 1D-B49, presenting the system to international judges, researchers, industry professionals, and the public. The exhibition provided valuable opportunities for technical exchange, feedback, and potential industry collaboration.
Project Team
The project was developed by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, with the lead by:
- Prof. FU Xiaowen
- Ir. Dr. TANG Yuk Ming
Their leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration were instrumental in translating research outcomes into a practical and impactful innovation.
Looking Forward
This Gold Medal recognition reinforces RIVRT’s commitment to applied research, industry-relevant innovation, and real-world impact. We will continue advancing intelligent transportation technologies and strengthening collaborations with academia, industry, and policymakers.
We sincerely thank the AEII organizers, international jury members, and all supporters who contributed to this achievement.
