IPD Lab Visit for Tuen Mun Catholic Secondary School

The Integrated Product Design (IPD) Laboratory hosted a visit from students of Tuen Mun Catholic Secondary School. This visit was organized to provide hands-on experience and insight into the various aspects of integrated product design.

Highlights of the Visit:

• Welcome and Introduction: Ir. Dr. Y.M. Tang welcomed the students and provided an overview of the IPD Lab’s facilities and ongoing projects.
• Lab Tour: Students toured the lab, observing demonstrations of our latest research projects in VR, AR, and AI. The demonstrated projects including,
  • Provision Of A Virtual Reality (VR) Training Programme For Blood Culture Procedures
  • Metaversity: Supporting teaching and students learning in the metaverse environment
• They learned about the various applications of VR and AR in various aspects, for examples, medical, educational, and industrial aspects. With the use of these technologies, people can learn things in more efficient and effective way.

The students and teachers expressed great enthusiasm and appreciation for the opportunity to visit the IPD Lab. The hands-on experience and exposure to cutting-edge technology were particularly well-received.
